Modern Features: Strong Like Bull, Smart Like Snorkel

Snorkel scissor lifts are exceptionally well designed. The engineers behind this machine paid a lot of attention to longevity - for the machine and your people. What do we mean by that? One example would be the swing-out components, that minimize strain and time spent on getting into the console which is just above ground level.  This isn’t the only time-saving maintenance feature the Snorkel includes. It also packs an onboard diagnostic tool, which will help your people understand what is going on with the machine and make preemptive maintenance decisions.  The online diagnostics tool is a serious game-changer for equipment. You’re going to save on downtime and repair costs in the long run because the machine can let your people know what it needs before it breaks and minimize how long it takes to repair anything that should go wrong. Job sites - especially the big ones where this lift belongs, are tough, so it happens.  This is a very large lift for an electric machine and is going to be at home in heavy industry and heavy commercial sites - or anywhere with a lot of space and of course, a thick slab to carry it.  The maximum working height is just under 40’, so it has a good deal of reach to compensate for its spatial needs. Now, with that said, it has a number of advantages over other lifts in its weight category.  Being electric is one of them. Most lifts at this size are diesel or gas-powered, and that requires fuel which costs more than power, as well as storage and downtime for refueling. This modern-day brute will get the job done - it just needs to charge overnight, so, a consideration for 24-hour operations. The deep cycle batteries are robust and will get you through roughly a 10-hour day and a half, so if it gets a charge, it won’t quit before you do.  This is a great bulldog of a slab-style scissor lift and is one of the many fine pieces of equipment that we are proud to stock at MAK Industries. We also carry a variety of smaller and rough terrain scissor lifts that bring modern features like the diagnostics system with them, as well. We carry a wide range of construction and mobile equipment, so don’t hesitate to get in contact with one of our 5 MAK Industries locations and find out what we can do to make it happen for you.
