Tailift PFG25 Forklift
Download Spec Sheet
Tailift has been ranked as a top 20 manufacturer of electric and internal combustion engine forklifts. With tough models like the PFG25, it’s easy to see why this 35-year-old company from Taiwan, which was acquired by the Toyota Corporation in 2014, is an industry leader when it comes to building material handling equipment.
These lift trucks are built to take some abuse, and with Toyotas being known for never dying it is apparent why they would have been interested in acquiring this maker of such tough machines.
These standard-sized, two-and-a-half-ton lift trucks are built perfectly for the harsh conditions of material supply yards. They have the stability to deal with suspended loads at height with some degree of comfort and are still small enough to be incredibly maneuverable, thanks to the rear-wheel steering.
Because of their size, they also do great at manufacturing and warehousing, again outshining their competition in tougher conditions. Let’s take a closer look at some of the features and specs that this rugged lift truck has to offer.

Reach
With a reach of just under fourteen feet, this lift may not be the highest reaching unit you’ve ever seen. That makes more sense when you think about the fact that this forklift was really designed for the material yard.
The Tailift PFG25 is right at home in the strenuous conditions of a roofing yard, where every load is heavy, and operator mistakes unforgiving on the vehicle. These kinds of yards don’t’ necessarily employ high-reach racking systems, because their materials are simply too heavy for that kind of storage.
Capacity
With a 5000 lb. capacity these forklifts can more than hold their own. They may not be the biggest lift at the lumber yard, but their beefy build and excellent engineering make them very useful nonetheless. 5000 lbs. is ample capacity for day-to-day operations at most medium to heavy industrial locations.
Handling
These lift trucks handle great. They have a very nice sense of stability through the turn as the rear swings out, with no surprising sensations when changing direction. These lifts almost feel like they are bigger than they actually are, though you will certainly remember the agility when you can make a zero-degree inside turn.
The really nice thing about the 5000 lb. weight class is that they manage to have ample capacity while maintaining the freedom of agility that smaller forklifts are known for.
Ergonomics
The PFG25 comes with an adjustable steering wheel and seat to accommodate all sizes of drivers. They have increased the operation space by 30% to allow more comfort for bigger operators. Like Toyotas, these lifts were known for favoring smaller users, but they have addressed that issue well.
The PFG25 also offers exceptional visibility through the overhead protection system, which is constructed of steel to protect the operator from falling debris.
